The Kingdom of Animalia: Two Sisters, Two Visions

The Kingdom of Animalia: Two Sisters, Two Visions
Great Bear

A new art exhibition at the CATV Gallery features two sisters, both experienced artists, who are displaying animal themed art with a delightful sense of fun and irony. The exhibition opens September 14th and runs through December. A reception to meet the artists will be held October 2nd, 5:00 to 7:00.

In this exhibit,
The Kingdom of Animalia: Two Sisters, Two Visions
Comedia Dog
Christy Park uses collage, drawing, and photography to create a whimsical look at animals, wild and domestic. She melds these media together to create unique portraits of bears, cows, chickens and more. Viewers are treated to tour a zoo like no other.

Rosella Park Sagall's work is also whimsical and unique. Her animals, mostly dogs in this exhibit, inhabit a bygone era and are ready to take center stage. With gentle humor, the artist pokes a little fun at both people and dogs. While drawn realistically, Sagall's work, like her sister's, is drawn from both the world and the imagination. Viewers will be challenged to walk away from seeing these pieces without a smile.

CATV Gallery is located at Cape Ann TV, 38 Blackburn Center, Gloucester, MA.
Hours are Mon.- Thurs., 10am - 7pm, and Fri. from 10am - 3pm.
