A realist oil painter with a passion for great detail, Danikian painted seascapes, landscapes and cityscapes. As owner of the Arvest Art Gallery in Boston from the early 70s, Danikian exhibited his own work along with the 19th and 20th century American and European art he represented. During the late 80s he moved to the North Shore where, until the end of his life last June, he painted familiar scenes of Manchester, Essex, Beverly, Prides Crossing, Beverly Farms, West Beach, Gloucester, Magnolia, Marblehead and Newburyport. He is buried in Manchester. Danikian's oil painting are well-known and are in private and public collections in the U.S. and other countries. He was an associate member of the Rockport Art Association and North Shore Arts Association, and a member of the Newburyport Art Association, Guild of Beverly Artists, Rocky Neck Art Colony in Gloucester, Provincetown Art Association, Concord Art Association and Portsmouth (R.I.) Art Guild. He had received numerous prestigious awards for his works. Paintings are for sale and part of the proceeds will benefit Cape Ann TV. CATV Gallery is located at Cape Ann TV, 38 Blackburn Center, Gloucester, MA. Hours are Mon.- Thurs., 10am - 7pm, and Fri. from 10am - 3pm. ###
